# Bernhardland 3.3.0 — artwork, typography and motion Date: 15 September 2026. Mode: native ImageGen edits of the retained map illustration. No external rendering engine or image-generation CLI was used. The background and wordmark are generated derivatives, not a claim of manual illustration. ## 3.3.0 high-resolution landscape and figure repair The landscape was repainted from the registered 1585×992 source with the complete geography and every landmark held in place. A second targeted edit repaired only the tiny human figures: clearer heads, limbs, hands, poses and object interactions, while retaining their activities, scale and approximate clothing colours. OpenCV registration found a near-identity homography (approximately −0.5 px translation, 1.001 scale) with 1,211 inlier feature matches, keeping the existing hotspots and motion masks aligned. The approved repaint is retained as `bernhardland-landscape-source-v3.3.0.png`. The delivery master is 4755×2976, created with three-times Lanczos resampling and restrained unsharp masking. The web version uses a quality-96 WebP derived from that master; the motion preparation plate and Bernhardland wordmark receive the same three-times treatment. HTML type, SVG masks and controls remain resolution-independent. ### Figure-repair prompt Use case: precise-object-edit. Asset type: high-resolution master artwork for the Bernhardland immersive portfolio map. Redraw only the small human figures throughout the map so they look deliberately illustrated rather than AI-generated. Give every person clean, readable anatomy at miniature scale: one clear head, two arms and two legs where visible, natural joints, coherent hands without extra fingers, simple recognizable faces, consistent proportions, stable poses, clothing with clean silhouettes, and believable interaction with instruments, desks, railings, stairs and paths. Keep the people charming and slightly simplified like a professionally hand-inked vintage theme-park map; do not make them photorealistic or overly detailed. Preserve the diversity, approximate clothing colors, activities, positions, scale and number of people already shown. Change only human figures and the pixels immediately needed to clean their edges. Keep the entire landscape, composition, 1585×992 canvas, camera angle, buildings, paths, rivers, bridges, rides, cable cars, flags, fountains, smoke, fire, trees, flowers, animals, palette, watercolor texture and lighting exactly unchanged. Do not add or remove people. Do not move landmarks or objects. No text, labels, logos, title, border or watermark. ## 3.2.1 hover activation and Inventor Valley smoke Wheel timing refinement: the Ferris wheel now moves 50 percent faster (0.63 instead of 0.42 radians per second), retaining its ±1.8° excursion and hover/focus activation. The latest brief supersedes 3.2.0's ambient behavior: landmarks now animate only while their land is hovered with a mouse, or visibly focused by keyboard. They settle after leaving and stop when entering a land. No effect starts automatically on page load. Reduced motion, hidden tabs and dialogs remain static, while the corrected resting cable positions stay visible. Inventor Valley's original painted chimney plume now gently billows and drifts. A soft SVG mask selects the existing smoke; nearby source-map ground fills the vacated area. Rotation, skew and scale are anchored to the chimney mouth. This reuses source pixels and does not generate replacement artwork. Enlarged browser inspection checked the resting shape and movement at 1.75 seconds. ## Historical 3.2.0 living water, fountains, garden and fire The previous water and flame deformations were too small to read at overview scale. The academy fountain had no actor, and the simplified butterflies had been removed without a painted replacement. This release makes those details visible in the idle overview and keeps the selected land alive after entry. Hover and keyboard focus increase engagement; pointer depth settles to zero inside a land. Dialogs, hidden documents and reduced motion pause the animation. The cable correction from 3.1.2 remains intact. - Mill water uses two clipped copies of the original painted stream, cross-faded over a 15-source-pixel downward travel. Painted foam moves gently at the base. - Both academy and garden fountains reuse their painted jets and pools. Jets rise by up to 17 percent on engagement; original water texture supplies the small droplets. Stone basins stay fixed. - Three small butterflies fly on different paths around the greenhouse, with individual wingbeats. All three reuse one transparent painted sprite, displayed at approximately 20–24 logical pixels. - The original campfire flickers around its fixed base, with greater height and contour variation and three small rising embers sampled from the original flame. - The standalone HTML embeds the butterfly and preparation plate. No network is needed for these effects. ### Butterfly asset and generation prompt Mode: native built-in ImageGen, using `bernhardland-landscape.png` as a style reference. Saved asset: `bernhardland-painted-butterfly.png`, 1337×1176 RGBA, transparent alpha verified. This is a generated painted-style sprite, not a manually drawn asset. Use case: illustration-story. Asset type: one transparent butterfly sprite for this exact illustrated landscape website. The supplied map is STYLE REFERENCE only, not a canvas to modify. Create ONE small European butterfly viewed from above with both wings spread symmetrically, body vertical and centered, head pointing up. Precisely match the map's warm gouache / watercolor and coloured-pencil illustration: delicate dark brown pencil outlines, hand-painted visible pigment variation and tiny wing veins, ochre-orange and muted rust wings with cream spots, brown body. It must belong among the flowers of this map and not look like a flat vector icon, emoji, photoreal insect or glossy CGI. Isolate the COMPLETE butterfly with wings and antennae on a truly transparent alpha background, no ground, no shadow, no white rectangle, no checkerboard painted into the image, no text, no extra butterflies, no framing. Center its body at exactly 50 percent canvas width; wings together fill 85 percent width and 75 percent height. Enough natural painted detail to retain the illustrated character when displayed as a 20-pixel sprite. Deliver the sprite alone on transparency. The sections below retain the earlier artwork decisions and generation prompts; the 3.2.0 behavior above supersedes their former animation ranges and triggers. ## 3.1.2 cable correction The source painting placed both cabins on the lower cable. The upper cabin is now offset by 13 logical pixels onto the upper line, including in the resting map, land view and reduced-motion mode. Each cabin follows its own measured curved route, with opposite travel directions and a maximum horizontal excursion of 16 pixels. The cabin layer remains visible while motion stops. Old trolley traces are covered using nearby background pixels; short cable sections reuse dark line pixels from an unoccupied section of the original painting. No new image generation was used for this correction. ## 3.1.1 animation method The moving landmarks reuse pixels from `bernhardland-landscape.png`. SVG masks select the existing illustration; they do not draw replacement coloured shapes. The source image is shared with the base map, so its texture, colour and resolution remain the same. The earlier simplified vector actors were removed after the user's quality feedback. Optional vector butterflies were also removed. - The complete painted Ferris wheel turns gently through ±1.8°. The original supports and foreground bunting are restored over it. This preserves the flattened painting; it is not a complete mechanical revolution with independently rotating cabins. That would require separately authored hidden artwork. - Original cable-car cutouts travel a short distance along the existing cable. Original flag cloths flex from their poles. - Original mill-water pixels drift and shimmer. The fountain water and fire deform by a few percent around their fixed bases. - A single shared ticker drives landmark movement and damped pointer parallax. Hover and keyboard focus activate the relevant land. Land entry, dialogs, reduced motion and hidden tabs stop it. - `bernhardland-motion-background.png` is a native ImageGen preparation plate. Only bounded masks behind the moving pieces use it; the rest of the original landscape remains intact. Its generated scenery is not pixel-identical to the source, so broad areas of that plate must never replace the base map. ### Background-plate prompt (native built-in ImageGen) Use case: precise-object-edit. This is a CLEAN BACKGROUND PLATE for animating this exact existing map. Preserve the exact 1586 x 992 wide map composition, every land, every landmark position, and the existing gouache/pencil style and colors. Do NOT redesign, zoom, crop, shift, relight, add details, or alter any text-free area outside these SMALL removals. Remove ONLY these moving pieces and convincingly fill the vacated pixels with the background that was behind them: (1) upper left Ferris wheel: remove the entire round wheel, its spokes and small gondolas, within approximately x320–466 y156–303. KEEP its fixed wooden A-frame support legs below the hub; fill where the circle was with the same distant green/yellow meadow. (2) Upper right cable car: remove ONLY the two red/orange hanging cabins centered around x1200 y191 and x1249 y160, plus their short hangers. KEEP the thin dark diagonal cable lines, metal support towers and mountain landscape. (3) Lower left academy: remove ONLY the tiny colored flag cloths near x180 y500, x266 y527 and x306 y520, leaving their flagpoles, castle roofs, trees and all architecture untouched. (4) Lower middle greenhouse garden: remove ONLY the bright water spouts/spray above the center fountain around x797 y748; KEEP the stone fountain and all blue water inside its bowl. (5) Lower right campsite: remove ONLY the orange flames around x1285 y786; KEEP the small woodpile, seated camper, tent, ground and all trees. Exact registration with the supplied image matters more than artistic changes. All other pixels should appear unchanged. Output the full map, same aspect ratio, no labels or arrows or border or transparency. This is solely an inpainting preparation plate; do not create replacement moving objects. Both landscape PNGs are 1585×992 and are mapped onto the existing logical 1586×992 stage. No generative redraw was used for the moving objects in 3.1.1. ## Current assets - `bernhardland-landscape.png`: continuous six-land artwork, no paper edge or baked lettering. - `bernhardland-wordmark.png`: transparent ornamental Bernhardland lettering, restored after the user's preference clarification. - The subtitle “A world of ideas” and every land name remain HTML text. Space Grotesk and Inter were verified from the original Avekai source and embedded from the official Google Fonts repository with the complete OFL texts in the map's About dialog. - Camera depth is implemented in CSS/JavaScript; the picture itself is a raster illustration, not a 3D model. The original `bernhardland-illustrated-map.png` remains as a historical reference. ## Landscape edit prompt Targeted art-direction edit of this existing map for a personal portfolio website. Preserve the recognizable exact SIX-land arrangement and paths: upper left seaside music stage, lighthouse and ferris wheel; upper center inventor workshop and wooden roller coaster; upper right alpine mountains and cable car; lower left academy castle and observatory; lower center glass conservatory and formal gardens; lower right forest tree houses. Same wide 16:10 composition. Remove ALL typography, ALL ribbons, ALL signs with writing, the compass, the YOU ARE HERE X, and the big top banner. Replace former text/ribbon areas naturally with quiet meadow and paths. Absolutely no letters or symbols or border or curled parchment or frame: landscape/background colors must extend seamlessly to every image edge. Top central 16 percent should be quiet warm pale sage/ochre meadow atmosphere, left unillustrated enough for an HTML title. This is NOT a new park composition. Refine the existing illustration into an understated slightly 2.5D miniature landscape: consistent shallow elevated viewpoint, very subtle painted relief, consistent soft shadows cast to lower right, terrain and buildings feel raised just slightly from the map plane. Editorial illustrated travel-map sensibility for a Swiss creative's portfolio, clean fine pencil contour, gouache details, carefully controlled warm stone, sage, muted pine, dusty blue water, terracotta accent, quiet low-saturation palette. Reduce tiny whimsical people and ornamental clutter, no robots/mascots/sparkles, no shiny toy CGI, no glossy plastic, no beveled UI, no dramatic depth or heavy grain. Keep legible landscape silhouettes and landmarks with coherent craft, generous quiet connecting land between the six areas. Flat warm atmospheric ground at edges extending indefinitely, not an isolated paper object on white. Full bleed clean artwork only. High resolution suitable for zooming. Essential goal is one believable continuous little landscape with slight relief, less busy and less generic AI fantasy. ## Wordmark edit prompt Extract and isolate ONLY the existing hand-lettered word BERNHARDLAND from the large title at the top of the supplied map. Preserve its exact whimsical hand-drawn slightly irregular bold serif lettering, coral-red fill and thin dark pencil outline. It should read exactly BERNHARDLAND, in one line. Remove the banner, ALL parchment, ALL surrounding illustration, the subtitle A WORLD OF IDEAS, and every other mark. Output a clean isolated lettering asset on a FULLY TRANSPARENT alpha background, tightly composed in a wide wordmark canvas about 6:1 aspect ratio. Do not add anything. No white or paper-colored box, no shadows outside the letterforms, no new effects. Retain the recognizable original lettering shape and color. It will sit directly above an HTML subtitle in the new full-bleed map. Transparency is essential. The returned wordmark is 2172×724 with an alpha channel; CSS frames its lettering without modifying the generated file. Prompts express requested generation properties and are not a guarantee that every visual detail was reproduced exactly. --- ## Historical illustration notes # Bernhardland illustration Created with the built-in image-generation tool, using the supplied adventure-park image as the style reference. The generated artwork is embedded in the HTML so the interactive map works offline. ## Final generation prompt Use case: illustration-story. Asset type: a finished illustrated background for an interactive personal theme park map in an HTML page. Input image 1: STYLE AND MATERIAL REFERENCE ONLY. Closely match its hand-drawn ink outlines, watercolor and colored-pencil washes, friendly storybook scenery, aged irregular parchment edges, curled corners, spacious readable composition and ribbon banners. Create an original map of BERnhard's own creative world, not the reference park. Primary request: Make a beautiful landscape adventure park map called "BERNHARDLAND", with six visually distinct lands forming ONE coherent landscape with winding sandy paths, a meandering blue river, footbridges, tiny cheerful visitors, trees, rocky features, a compass rose in the upper left and a small red X entrance at bottom centre. The art should look drawn by a talented children's book illustrator with wobbly charcoal linework and subtle paper grain, not vector graphics, a website, cards, infographic boxes, or realistic 3D. Canvas: wide landscape, approximately 16:10, highest available resolution. The entire weathered parchment sheet is visible against a narrow warm ivory outer margin. Interior land art is large and richly detailed. Generous warm light parchment between areas; no repeated icon grid or straight dividing lines. Composition: grand decorative scroll banner centred in the top 15%, exact main title "BERNHARDLAND" in large coral red illustrated serif lettering with dark outlines, exact smaller subtitle "A WORLD OF IDEAS". Six lands, arranged organically in two loose rows of three, each with its own large readable tan ribbon UNDER its main scene. Maintain the following order to support clickable regions: 1. upper-left quadrant below the compass, centre around 21% x / 35% y: a musical seaside cove with wooden amphitheatre, tiny guitar players, film camera on tripod, colourful stage awnings and a whimsical Ferris wheel. Ribbon centred around 21% x / 49% y: exact text "Creator Cove". 2. upper-middle around 50% x / 34% y: inventive hillside workshops, interconnected whimsical roller coaster, waterwheel, tiny friendly robot, intricate mechanical contraptions. Ribbon around 50% x / 49% y: "Inventor Valley". 3. upper-right around 79% x / 35% y: dramatic adventure mountains with snowy tips, a tiny cable car, lookout and adventurous trail to a summit flag. Ribbon around 79% x / 49% y: "Venture Heights". 4. lower-left around 21% x / 67% y: an enchanted learning academy castle, open book motif, young people discovering things, an observatory turret, banners and gardens. Ribbon around 21% x / 82% y: "Discovery Academy". 5. lower-middle around 50% x / 67% y: an elaborate glass conservatory, formal gardens, little fountain, topiary, a craftsman's hut and inviting pathways. Ribbon around 50% x / 82% y: "Craftkeeper Gardens". 6. lower-right around 79% x / 67% y: a richly illustrated forest with treehouses, a rope bridge, camping tent, watchtower, gentle forest creatures and small river rapids. Ribbon around 79% x / 82% y: "Curiosity Woods". The six areas should have varied silhouettes and individual stories, woven together naturally like the supplied reference. Fit every ribbon without covering important scenery. Keep title and all six names spelled EXACTLY as supplied. Bottom centre entrance marker near 50% x / 94% y: a red X with "YOU ARE HERE", small enough to leave the map spacious. Palette: aged buttercream parchment, muted sage and fern greens, clear watercolor blue river, ochre and warm brown wood, restrained coral and lavender accents. Charming, tactile and lovingly detailed. No modern UI controls, no borders around individual lands, no code, no watermark.
